“Get Lucky” Rhythm Guitar Instruction

Happy to announce the first release for my 30 day rhythm guitar challenge!

This lesson is intended to help you improve your rhythm chops using “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk. I built this lesson with the beginner in mind but the concepts here can be applied to any level of player.

I start by showing each chord individually then showing the strumming for each chord at half the tempo. I do not use tablature so there’s no need to know how to read tablature for this lesson.

Once you’ve completed the instructions you’ll move over to the Get Lucky Play-A-Long to practice what you learned. Start by setting the video playback speed to 50%. Once you feel comfortably playing along the whole time try increasing the speed. But only a little bit at a time until you can play it at the original tempo.

Show me your progress! Try doing this for at least 15 minutes a day for 30 days. Make a video of what you sound like the first day you try the Play-A-Long and also on the last day. You’ll be surprised how much improvement you’ll make!
